Speaking after a political gathering with colleagues, Hon. Nkeaka reflected on recent conversations surrounding leadership within the APC in Oshimili North. He acknowledged that while Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi remains a towering political figure in Delta State and beyond, his influence transcends local party politics.
“It would be politically unfair to limit Senator Nwaoboshi’s relevance to Oshimili North alone. He is a foremost political leader in Delta State and must be accorded due respect,” Nkeaka stated.
Drawing from over two decades of active political involvement in the area, Hon. Nkeaka recounted his participation in several elections, including those of Sir Joe in 2003 and the late Hon. Uchenna Ofuonyeadi in 2002/2003. He noted that many respected figures such as Elder Anene Chigbue, Hon. Tina Nwaokocha, and others can attest to his long-standing engagement in local politics through the historic political forum known as “The Parliament.”
He emphasized that at the local level, the Member representing Oshimili North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwa, remains the highest-ranking political officeholder and should naturally serve as the coordinating leader of the APC Leaders Forum in the LGA.
Hon. Nkeaka urged Hon. Esenwa to work harmoniously with other prominent party leaders, including Hon. Austin Nnabuife, Chief Austin Izagbo, Hon. Patrick Ukah, Evang. Princess Pat Ajudua, Dr. Austin Obidi, Hon. Ben Okonkwor, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, and several others who have contributed immensely to the political and developmental growth of Oshimili North.
“Senator Nwaoboshi should be consulted on major strategic issues, not drawn into petty political disagreements. His leadership status must be respected for the stability and unity of the party,” he added.
Hon. Nkeaka concluded by appealing to party members to refrain from divisive politics and to channel their collective energy toward strengthening the APC in Oshimili North, in alignment with the development agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the renewed hope mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Unity and respect are the pillars upon which sustainable political growth is built. Together, we can consolidate our strength ahead of the 2027 elections,” he affirmed
