ANIOMA ASSOCIATION USA, INC. DELIVERS SUCCESSFUL ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT AWARD CEREMONY FOR DELTA NORTH RECIPIENTS, IN ASABA; OSAKWE EXPRESSES APPRECIATION

The Anioma Association USA, Inc., on Friday, August 29, 2025, held the maiden edition of it's Economic Empowerment Award ceremony at the Main Hall, NUJ Press Centre, Maryam Babangida Way, Asaba, Delta State.

The pioneer award recipients are promising small business entrepreneurs who were selected from 59 qualified applicants selected from across the nine local government areas of Delta North Senatorial District. They were honoured and empowered with grants of N500,000 each.

Delta State Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Mr. Godfrey Chukwudifu Osakwe, fnipr, who coordinated the economic empowerment award ceremony in Asaba, Nigeria, on behalf of the Anioma Association USA, Inc., penned a heartfelt appreciation note to celebrate the successful delivery of the maiden award ceremony to Anioma nation.

With a grateful heart, I thank most sincerely all our guests, awardees, and volunteers for the honour of their esteemed presence at today’s Anioma Association USA, Inc. Economic Empowerment Award.

Indeed, nothing inspires and motivates more than the gift of genuine support and love for one another. Your presence and support added colour, weight, and significance to the entire exercise.

Special thanks go to His Royal Majesty, Obi Ezedimbu Nkebakwu III, the Obi of Ugboba Kingdom; HRM Ayo Isinyemeze, Oloza of Ugbodu; Barr. Frank Esenwah, Honourable Member representing Oshimili North in the Delta State House of Assembly; Hon. Chris Nwamgbor, Speaker of the Legislative Arm of Oshimili North LGA; Dr. Charles Oseji an educationist based in US; Sylvester Asoya, an acclaimed journalist and biographer; Jude Ashikodi, an astute administrator, Ese Obote-Ogwu; Mariam Ekwytos Anochili; and Joy Ochei, my distinguished colleagues in the public relations profession.

Comrade Ifeanyi Egwuyenga, Delta State Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer (CJWCO) The Delta State Government has, on Friday, October 25, 2024, announced massive job creation opportunities for citizens and residents of the State. As the agitation for the creation of Anioma state intensifies, an Anioma Stakeholder Summit has been organised by the office of the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, in Asaba the Delta State capital. Tagged the Renewed Quest for the creation of Anioma State, the Summit drew critical stakeholders in the Anioma region including serving and past political leaders, traditional rulers, community leaders, women and youths.
