DUMO LULU-BRIGGS REMEMBERS LATE FATHER, HIGH CHIEF O.B. LULU-BRIGGS; PRAISES GOD FOR GIFT OF SUCH A REMARKABLE FATHER

On Friday, December 24th, 2024, the annual High Chief (Dr) O.B. Lulu-Briggs Remembrance Day Celebration was again held in Abonnema. As usual, it has always been a day of significance, just as the life and times of the  one whose remembrance it is.

We will recall that this annual event as hosted by Opuda Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs and colleagues has always been about empowering lives and giving lives a True meaning, unforgettably. While other years have been premised on business, skills and education (scholarships), in this year's, the hosts decided it is time to give praises to God through Choral competition, wherein the best of voices that will bring down the Glory of God in appreciation to the gifting of such a remarkable father of many nations as the revered High Chief O.B. Lulu-Briggs, will be given a divine purpose impacting award. 

For this reason, this year's was tagged, "High Chief (DR) O.B. Lulu-Briggs Annual Rememberance Day Celebration; Choral Competition.", which brought six (6) choral groups to meet in competition: 1. St Augustine's Anglican choir

2. Magnificent choral voices of St Paul's Nyemoni Lutheran Cathedral, Abonnema. 

3. DLB choral group

4. Frank d'tenor Choral group, Abuja

5. Omar Peach choral group

6. Shekina choral group. 

As God will have it, after an intense praises to God, the Nyemoni Lutheran Cathedral and Frank D'tenor choral groups took the first position, while Omar peach and Shekina choral groups took the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. All six (6) choral groups had a life changing rewards to the tune of Twenty three million Naira (N23,000,000.00). 

According to Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, in all, this year's was greater, as it conspicuously brought down the glory of God Almighty that brought the Oruwari Briggs Group of War Canoe Houses of Abonnema this far, and he is grateful to God for the vision to initiate the this year's Choral Voices competition to bare. 

Writing on his verified social media handles, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs captured the remembrance event thus:

Yesterday, Friday, 27th December, 2024 was another remarkable day as it bothers on my late fathers legacy, the "High Chief (Dr) O.B. Lulu-briggs's Annual Remembrance Day Celebration", particularly that this year's was centered on intense praises to God Almighty, for gifting me/us, a father as my father, Chief O.B. Lulu-Briggs whose presence here on earth remains a joy of many generations, for he spent for the things of God and spent himself for mankind to actualize God's purpose here on earth.  

As directed by God, I, and my colleagues made this year's a day of Choral Voices, to appreciate God for gifting us such a wonderful father that has left in us such legacy that has daily transformed us to become better than he was.

We recall that we have over the years empowered lives through Business ventures, skills and educational scholarship awards, but chose to make this year's that of lifting our voices in praises to God Almighty, that He may in our humility acknowledge that we haven't over the years taken His magnanimity of love for granted. 

So, after an intense competition in praises to God amongst six (6) participants (choral groups), namely, 1. St Augustine's Anglican choir, 2. Magnificent choral voices of St Paul's Nyemoni Lutheran Cathedral, Abonnema, 3. DLB choral group, 4. Frank D'tenor Choral group, Abuja, 5. Omar Peach choral group, and 6. Shekina choral group, we empowered lives. 

Though winners emerged, yet  all six (6) Glorious voices of God were empowered with Life changing Grace.
