Oil industry titan and frontline Rivers statesman, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of this year's Christmas celebration, noting amongst other things, that while challenges have tested us in 2024, we are blessed to be alive to witness the joy of the season.

Writing on his verified social media handles, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs delivered his Christmas message thus:

What a year 2024 has been! 

A year of trials and triumphs, yet, by the mercies of God, we stand at its close, filled with gratitude. While challenges have tested us, we are blessed to be alive to witness the joy of the season.

As we reflect, let us acknowledge the countless blessings that surround us. Life itself is a precious gift, and in the spirit of this season, we are reminded that we are not more deserving than those who have gone before us.

May God's richest blessings be upon you and your loved ones this season. Just as He withheld not His Son for our salvation, I believe He will withhold no good thing from you.

This is the time to share, to give, and to spread joy. Be the extension of God's hand to those around you, offering love, friendship, and fellowship as the greatest gifts of all.

According to multiple reports gathered across the metropolis, a syndicate operating with commercial tricycles has devised a coordinated method that exploits the trust and distraction of passengers. The scheme typically begins when a passenger boards a Keke already carrying two or three occupants. After moving a short distance—usually two or three electric poles—the driver suddenly brings the tricycle to a halt, pretending that the Keke has developed a mechanical fault. Gov. Oborevwori Suspends Rector, Bursar of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku for Six Months

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, in his capacity as Visitor to the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, has approved the immediate suspension of the institution’s Rector and Bursar for a period of six months.  He also upheld the earlier suspension of the Registrar by the Polytechnic’s Governing Council.   A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, explained that the suspension of the principal officers is to allow for a thorough and unbiased investigation into allegations of administrative misconduct and financial breaches levelled against them by the Governing Council.   The statement further directed that the Deputy Rector shall act as Rector during the six-month suspension period, while the most senior accountant in the Bursary Department will serve as Acting Bursar for the same duration.
