High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs Collaborates with Education Champions League for School Quiz Competition in Honor of His Late Father.
Today, High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Chairman of Platform Petroleum Ltd and Paramount Head of the Oruwari War-Canoe Houses, collaborated with the Education Champions League to host a school quiz competition at the Alliance Francaise, 20 Herbert Macaulay Street, Amadi Flats, Port Harcourt.
This event was dedicated to his late father, the revered High Chief OB Lulu-Briggs (OON), and featured the presentation of awards under the title “OB Lulu-Briggs Prize for Reading and Civic Awareness.”
As the official sponsor of the 2024 ECL Quiz competition, High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs expressed his deep commitment to fostering literacy and civic engagement among Nigerian youth.
“This is something meaningful the Education Champions League has done; it shows they understand the need to educate the next generation,” he stated during the award ceremony.
He further noted, “Some of the books quizzed on spoke about value reorientation. Truly, as a people, we need value reorientation in each and every one of us. These young ones are teaching us. We must always allow the optimism of our will to trump the pessimism of our intellect.”
The quiz competition aimed to cultivate a robust reading and writing culture among Nigerian youths while promoting community engagement and youth empowerment.
The following schools emerged winners in the quiz competition:
FGGC Abuloma – 1st Position, with a cash prize of N10 Million.
Seacrest Preparatory School – 2nd Position, with a cash prize of N5 Million
Aladumo International School – 3rd Position, with a cash prize of N2.5 million
Enitonna High School – 4th Position, with a cash prize of N1.5 Million.
High Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs proudly presented the awards to the winning schools, celebrating their academic achievements and encouraging all participants to continue their pursuit of knowledge.
